I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Dixie State College. I am a certified elementary teacher with experience and additional training in helping children become fluent and proficient readers.
Experience
I'm an elelmentary teacher and have taught first and second grade children for 3 years. I have spent alot of time working one on one to help many of my students succeed. I enjoy helping them succeed and watching them blossom and grow. I want to tutor children in reading so they feel more confident going to the next grade level when school begins and they will be on or closer to grade level if they are struggling. Without daily practice in reading it is so easy to fall behind even for average students. I have additional training in reading rocovery for helping at risk children. This training has given me great intervention techniques and most current methods. I love teaching language arts and reading they are my favorite subjects.
